Responsibilities

• Review and estimate structural, architectural, plumbing, and electrical plans.
• Coordinate with Architects and Engineers to clarify project details and BOQ.
• Coordinate with Accounting for Owner-Supplied Materials prices and budget per unit.
• Coordinate with Purchasing for current material prices for BOQ pricing.
• Conduct canvassing of material prices to validate costs.
• Prepare schematic cost estimates for new projects, repairs, and special projects.
• Prepare BOQ, progress reports, and scope documents for Engineering.
• Prepare the Matrix of Works and evaluate contractor bids.
• Tabulate and evaluate bids against in-house estimates.
• Prepare Bills of Materials for occupancy permit applications.
• Validate and evaluate construction progress for billing.

Strong knowledge of material and labor cost estimation in the housing and construction industry.

Up-to-date knowledge of current material and labor costs, as well as market pricing trends.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and estimate structural, architectural, plumbing, and electrical plans.
• Coordinate with Architects and Engineers to clarify project details, variations, inconsistencies, and other technical concerns to prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Coordinate with the Accounting Department to obtain the actual unit prices of Owner-Supplied Materials (OSM) and reflect the acquired prices in the OSM cost breakdown to establish the budget per housing unit.
• Coordinate with the Purchasing Department to obtain current material prices for BOQ pricing.
• Conduct independent canvassing of material prices to validate costs against Purchasing and Accounting records.
• Prepare schematic cost estimates for new projects, repairs, and special projects.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), progress monitoring reports, lists of Owner-Supplied Materials (OSM), and scope of work documents for the Engineering Department.
• Prepare the Matrix of Works and evaluate the scope of work of contractor bid submissions.
• Tabulate and evaluate contractors' bid proposals by comparing them with in-house cost estimates.
• Prepare Bills of Materials required for occupancy permit applications.
• Conduct validation and evaluation of construction progress for billing purposes.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
