Arup in Manila is seeking a Junior Platform Engineer to help build and run secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and shared platform services used by teams across Arup.

You will gain hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) and cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP), collaborating with platform and data engineers to automate and secure production workloads.

Formación

• Entry-level or with some experience in platform engineering, DevOps or cloud engineering.
• Exposure to major cloud providers (AWS, Azure or GCP) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Familiar with Git and CI/CD pipelines and scripting (Python).
• Experience with containers/serverless, monitoring and security considerations is a plus.

• Help build and run secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and shared platform services used by teams across Arup.
• Automate everything you can – Infrastructure as Code in Terraform, CI/CD pipelines and self-service tooling.
• Improve reliability and security through monitoring, incident response and sensible governance.
• Work alongside platform engineers, data engineers and architects, with real scope to shape how we engineer.

Is this role right for you?

• You are new or have some experience in platform engineering, DevOps or cloud engineering, supporting production workloads.
• You've had some exposure to major cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP) and with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform.
• You’re comfortable with Git and CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) and script your way out of repetitive work, ideally in Python.
• You’ve come across containers or serverless, monitoring and alerting, and you keep security front of mind.
• You enjoy collaborating, keep learning, and can explain technical ideas to non-technical colleagues.
