Job summary

Princess Cruises in Magsaysay, Philippines invites applications for a Jr Waiter (Japanese Speaking) to support dining service aboard our ships. The role involves assisting the Waiter in delivering high-quality food and beverages, maintaining elegant table environments, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout service.

Ideal candidates will have a Catering/Hotel Management background and at least 2 years of restaurant service, preferably in four-star hotels or cruise ships.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized Catering / Hotel Management School.
• Minimum 2 years restaurant service experience from four-star hotel or cruise ship.
• Knowledge of food, beverage and wine menus used throughout the fleet.
• Able to explain pricing, food, wine, and cocktail menus to guests.
• Ability to work under pressure in Front and Back of House areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Waiter to create a comfortable, elegant ambiance by preparing table settings and maintaining service stations in line with Company standards.
• Assist the Waiter to deliver food and beverages as requested, on time, in the correct service order, follow up to ensure guest needs are met.
• Provide a positive first impression to every guest through a warm, welcoming greeting; maintain a clean, professional appearance.
• Nurture a lasting connection with every guest by showing genuine interest during service and staying engaged throughout the voyage.
• Observe and identify guest preferences, adjust service accordingly, and anticipate needs without guests asking.
• Follow all Company guidelines, policies, and procedures, including USPH protocols.
