About the role
We're seeking a Junior IT Business Analyst to join our growing team in Makati City, Metro Manila.
As a Junior IT Business Analyst, you will play a vital role in bridging the gap between business requirements and technical solutions, supporting our organisation in delivering high-quality IT projects and digital transformations. This position will provide you with hands-on experience in requirements gathering, process analysis, and system design, whilst working alongside experienced analysts and cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders, ensuring clarity and completeness of specifications
- Conduct process analysis and workflow assessments to identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation
- Collaborate with technical teams and business users to understand current systems and define future-state solutions
- Prepare functional specifications, business requirement documents, and other supporting documentation
- Participate in meetings with clients and internal teams to communicate findings and recommendations
- Support the development and testing phases by validating that solutions meet documented requirements
- Assist in creating process flows, user stories, and system design documentation
- Maintain detailed records of requirements, changes, and project progress
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of business analysis processes and methodologies
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex business challenges
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency in documenting requirements and creating clear, concise business specifications
- Familiarity with business analysis tools and software (such as Visio, JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms)
- Knowledge of systems development lifecycle (SDLC) principles and methodologies
- Keen attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Experience with SQL, database concepts, or technical fundamentals is a plus
- Exposure to agile or waterfall project management methodologies is advantageous
