PH Global Jet Express Inc. (J&T Express Philippines) is seeking a Junior Lawyer for a full-time, on-site role in Taguig. You will draft, review, and revise contracts, policies, and regulatory documents to support compliance and risk management.

You will conduct legal research, prepare memoranda, respond to regulatory inquiries, and coordinate with external counsel as needed to support internal stakeholders across the business.

Role Description

The Junior Lawyer is a full-time, on-site role based in Taguig, supporting the legal needs of PH Global Jet Express Inc. (J&T Express). This role involves drafting, reviewing, and revising contracts, agreements, and company policies to help ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The Junior Lawyer will assist in legal research, prepare memoranda and opinions, and help respond to regulatory and government inquiries. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting internal stakeholders on legal issues, helping manage documentation for disputes or claims, and coordinating with external counsel when needed. The role also includes monitoring changes in relevant laws and regulations and assisting in the development and implementation of compliance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong legal research and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret laws, regulations, and case precedents.
• Competence in drafting and reviewing contracts, legal documents, policies, and correspondence.
• Ability to support corporate and regulatory compliance, including documentation and internal process reviews.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
• Detail-oriented work habits, solid organizational skills, and the capacity to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree; bar membership in the Philippines is highly preferred.
• Prior internship or up to 2 years’ experience in a law firm or in-house legal department, ideally in corporate, commercial, or logistics-related work.
• Proficiency in using office productivity tools and legal research platforms; familiarity with technology-driven business environments is an advantage.

Work Schedule & Setup

• Work on-site, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
