Job summary

DOXA is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Credit Analyst to support the Senior Credit Analyst in SBA and commercial lending processes. You will spread and analyze financial statements, calculate DSCR, and prepare credit memos, while ensuring data accuracy and file quality.

The role requires 1–3 years of business credit experience, a finance-related degree, and strong English communication. This is a remote position for candidates in the Philippines with EST working hours.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

The Role

We're seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Credit Analyst. This role is designed for someone with prior business credit experience who understands business tax returns and financial statements and can translate financial analysis into clear credit memos. You'll play a key role in supporting the Senior Credit Analyst throughout the business credit, SBA, and commercial lending process, handling financial spreading, preliminary credit analysis, and file quality control.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in business credit, commercial credit, business lending, credit analysis, or related underwriting support; prior experience evaluating business credit required; exposure to SBA lending, SBA underwriting requirements, or lender documentation preferred; experience preparing financial spreads and calculating DSCR or other credit metrics a plus.
• Skills: Ability to read and interpret business tax returns, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets; ability to prepare credit memos based on financial and borrower information; comfort working in Excel, including organizing and reviewing financial data; experience working with lending or credit-analysis software a plus.
• Characteristics: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy; strong organizational and written communication skills with the ability to manage multiple loan files and deadlines; able to identify and appropriately escal… ????

Responsibilities

• Spread and analyze business tax returns, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and other borrower financial information, reviewing data for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Calculate and assess key credit metrics including cash flow, debt service coverage ratio (DSCR), liquidity, leverage, and profitability, identifying trends, discrepancies, and potential credit concerns.
• Assist the Senior Credit Analyst with preparation of SBA and commercial loan credit packages, organizing borrower financial information and supporting documentation for lender review.
• Perform quality-control reviews of financial spreads, credit analysis, and loan documentation, flagging missing information or inconsistencies for Senior Credit Analyst review.
• Maintain accurate and organized loan files, track outstanding documentation or analysis requirements, and support multiple active loan files while meeting established deadlines.
