Job summary

Dempo is hiring a Junior Cloud Engineer to join our infrastructure team and gain hands-on experience in cloud-native environments. You will work under supervision on well-scoped tasks, building a strong foundation for a Platform or SRE career path.

You’ll receive close guidance from senior engineers as you learn Linux basics, cloud concepts, containers, and CI/CD, with room to grow at your own pace within a supportive mentorship program.

Qualifications

• Less than 2 years of experience in this role.
• Basic Linux command-line usage.
• Familiarity with core cloud concepts.
• Basic understanding of containers (Docker).
• Familiarity with Git workflows.
• Willingness to learn under mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Write basic Infrastructure as Code (IaC) components.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines with supervision.
• Handle low-risk operational issues.
• Search logs and read dashboards to help investigate known issues.
• Learn how incidents are declared and your role in escalating them.
• Build foundational knowledge of Linux, cloud, and containers.
• Receive close guidance and mentorship from senior cloud/platform engineers.
