Job summary

YDL Law in Makati seeks Junior Associates and Underbar Associates who have sat for the 2026 Bar Examinations. You join as an Underbar Associate under partner supervision and transition to full Junior Associate work after Bar admission.

Key duties include drafting and filing legal documents, conducting live-matter research, and coordinating with clients. On-site work in Metro Manila, with opportunities to engage in litigation, corporate, and regulatory matters.

Qualifications

• Sat for the 2026 Philippine Bar Examinations or already a member of the Philippine Bar.
• Juris Doctor or Bachelor of Laws from a leading Philippine law school.
• Proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and legal opinions.
• Strong written and spoken communication in English and Filipino.
• Ability to manage several matters, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work on-site in Metro Manila and attend court hearings when needed.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, letters, contracts, and legal memoranda, and prepare, revise, and file legal documents.
• Conduct research on live matters, not hypotheticals.
• Coordinate with and assist Firm clients on legal matters in the ordinary course of business.
• Appear before courts, government agencies, and administrative bodies alongside the handling lawyer.
• Support corporate secretarial and regulatory compliance work before the SEC, BIR, DOLE, and other agencies.
• Contribute to our publications program under your own byline.

YDL Law is hiring Junior Associates and Underbar Associates, and we are looking specifically for those who sat for the 2026 Bar Examinations.

Yebra Devesa Loon Santos Hernandez Law Offices is a full-service firm in Makati handling litigation, corporate practice, labor, energy, and regulatory compliance, along with special projects including public-private partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, and public biddings.

Our partners hold their law degrees from the University of the Philippines College of Law, the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law, and the San Beda University College of Law. Our lawyers have come from the judiciary, the legislature, the executive, and the financial services and insurance industry.

The Underbar track

You join immediately as an Underbar Associate under partner supervision and move into full Junior Associate work the moment you are admitted to the Bar.

What you'll do

• Draft pleadings, letters, contracts, and legal memoranda, and prepare, revise, and file legal documents
• Conduct research on live matters, not hypotheticals
• Coordinate with and assist Firm clients on legal matters in the ordinary course of business
• Appear before courts, government agencies, and administrative bodies alongside the handling lawyer

You will report to the partners and work within assigned legal teams. We expect you to bring ideas forward and take part in shaping strategy on the files you handle.

Who we're looking for

• Sat for the 2026 Philippine Bar Examinations (Underbar Associate), or already a member of the Philippine Bar (Junior Associate)
• Juris Doctor or Bachelor of Laws from a leading Philippine law school
• Proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and legal opinions
• Strong written and spoken communication in English and Filipino, with a professional client-facing manner
• Ability to manage several matters at once, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• High ethical standards, close attention to detail, and sound professional judgment
• Able to work collaboratively within a team and take initiative with minimal supervision
• Willing to work on-site in Metro Manila and attend court hearings, meetings, and client engagements as needed
• Prior internship, externship, paralegal work, or experience in corporate, commercial, or litigation practice is an advantage, though not required.
