Job summary

MicroSourcing is hiring a Junior Accountant in Metro Manila for a full-time remote position with a day shift. You will handle day-to-day accounting tasks, including journals and workpapers to support financial statements and tax returns, while using cloud accounting software.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, strong numerical accuracy, and the ability to meet deadlines. Experience with Xero is a plus, and the company offers a competitive package and growth

Your Role

As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for day-to-day accounting functions, including preparing journals and workpapers to support the timely completion of financial statements and income tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process accounting journals and supporting workpapers.
• Assist in the preparation of accurate financial statements.
• Support the preparation of income tax returns and related documentation.
• Maintain accounting records and perform cloud accounting updates using accounting software.
• Ensure assigned accounting tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and within allocated budgeted hours.

Qualifications – Non-negotiables

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical accuracy.
• Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and budgeted hours.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills / Expertise

• Around 2 years of hands-on experience using Xero accounting software.
• Experience preparing financial workpapers, reconciliations, or tax documentation.
