Job summary

Cooee Inc. in Iloilo is seeking a Fire Systems Draftsperson to translate surveys, markups, and designs into accurate drawings and models for fire protection systems.

You will work with our design, drafting and estimating teams, contributing to compliant deliverables across projects for government, education, and commercial clients.

On-site role aligned with Australian standards, supporting a growing portfolio of fire protection projects.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ experience in drafting / building design (building services, mechanical, architectural, or equivalent).
• Advanced AutoCAD & Revit — fire protection modelling.
• Knowledge of NCC, Australian Standards, and AS 1100 drawing practices.
• Strong spoken & written English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Teams, SharePoint.
• Bonus: Navisworks, Bluebeam Revu, CDE platforms, or fire design software (AutoSPRINK, HydraCAD, SprinkCAD).
• Bonus: Direct experience drafting fire protection systems.

Responsibilities

• Drafting & Compliance: Produce layouts, schematics, riser diagrams, and details from Lead instructions.
• Draft to Australian Standards, NCC, and project specs.
• Create block plans, as-built drawings, and submission packages.
• Cross-check designs with other disciplines; flag conflicts to the Lead.
• BIM & Modelling: Build and maintain detailed Revit fire protection models per project BIM plans.
• Run clash detection; coordinate resolutions with other trades.
• Attend coordination meetings; upload deliverables to common data environments.
• Design & Project Support: Assist with hydraulic calculations and software inputs.
• Conduct site surveys, take measurements, and document conditions.
• Prepare schedules, material lists, concept drawings, and quantity takeoffs.
• Create sketches and mark-ups for tenders, variations, and defect quotes.
• Document Control: Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and file naming standards.
• Manage submission packages and track deliverables against schedules.

• Based at 2nd Floor Nelly Garden Building, E. Lopez St., Jaro, Iloilo City 5000

About the Role

We’re hiring a Fire Systems Draftsperson to turn designs, surveys, and mark‑ups into accurate, compliant drawings and models for fire protection systems including sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel, detection & alarm, EWIS, gaseous suppression, and bushfire sprinkler systems. You’ll report to the Design/Drafting Lead and collaborate with project, service, and estimating teams; all work is reviewed and approved before issue.

We partner with an Australian fire protection provider serving government, health, education, commercial, and remote resources clients across the Northern Territory, South Australia, and far north Western Australia.

Key Responsibilities

Drafting & Compliance
