Quess Philippines Corp. is seeking an AS/400 Developer to design, develop, and maintain IBM iSeries applications using RPG IV, RPG Free, and CL.

The role involves collaborating with business analysts, debugging and optimizing existing systems, and ensuring adherence to coding standards. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of AS/400 RPG experience, strong CL and DB2 for i knowledge, and familiarity with APIs and web services integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Minimum of 3 years in AS/400 RPG development, including RPG IV and RPG Free.
• Strong knowledge of CL programming and DB2 for i database management.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and debugging complex applications.
• Experience with APIs, web services, and AS/400 to modern platform integrations.
• Familiarity with Git and SDLC methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

AS/400 Developer
Resource will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications on the IBM iSeries (AS/400) platform using RPG programming languages. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in RPG IV, free-format RPG, CL programming, and an in-depth understanding of the AS/400 environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications on the IBM iSeries (AS/400) platform using RPG IV, RPG Free, and CL programming.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Debug, test, and enhance existing applications to improve performance and functionality.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Analyze and resolve system issues, providing timely support to end-users.
• Work on database design and management, including DB2 for i.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for applications and systems.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance as needed.

Required Skills and Experience
