Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd in the Philippines seeks an experienced Technical Lead to guide a hands-on software engineering team, align with technical direction, and deliver high-quality services. You will lead backend and full-stack efforts, building reliable cloud-native services and integrating systems in a modern CI/CD environment.

You will collaborate across deployment, ensure code quality with unit tests, and drive DevSecOps-aligned development and best practices within an agile team.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java and Spring/Spring Boot for backend development.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Strong understanding of API, microservices, and integration concepts (REST, JSON, XML, message queues).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools.
• Knowledge of AWS or OpenShift cloud platforms.
• Familiar with Agile/Scrum processes and Git version control.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a development team to align with the technical direction.
• Ensure quality products are delivered through sound engineering practices.
• Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring/Spring Boot.
• Design and implement APIs and integrations using REST/JSON/XML and message queues.
• Support microservices architecture and related integration patterns.
• Apply CI/CD practices using appropriate tools.
• Contribute to cloud-native infrastructure and DevSecOps-aligned development approaches.
• Collaborate on deployment and release activities for applications.
• Write efficient, reusable, and reliable code and support maintainability.
• Use unit testing practices to help ensure code quality and performance.
• Work with Git to manage and review code changes.
