Job summary

Whitecloak in Manila is seeking a Technical Lead to drive a hands-on development team and align projects with the technical direction. You will own backend and full-stack tasks, focusing on reliable services, system integrations, and cloud-native delivery in a microservices setup.

The role combines technical leadership with hands-on coding in Java/Spring Boot, API design, and CI/CD, with collaboration across deployment and release activities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a development team.
• Hands-on backend/full-stack development with Java and Spring/Boot.
• Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design APIs and integrations using REST/JSON/XML and messaging queues.
• Support microservices architecture and CI/CD practices.
• Contribute to cloud-native infrastructure and DevSecOps-aligned development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a development team to align with the technical direction
• Ensure quality products delivered through engineering practices
• Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring/Spring Boot
• Design and implement APIs and integrations using REST/JSON/XML
• Support microservices architecture and related integration patterns
• Apply CI/CD practices using appropriate tools
• Collaborate on deployment and release activities for applications
• Write efficient, reusable, and reliable code and maintainability
• Use unit testing to ensure code quality and performance
• Work with Git for version control and code review
