About the role
The Senior System Administrator is responsible for managing and optimizing the organization's cloud infrastructure and enterprise productivity services, including identity, collaboration, and communication platforms. This role leads initiatives that enhance system performance, reliability, and security while supporting the organization's cloud strategy, operational improvements, and service delivery. The position also contributes to long-term infrastructure planning and providing technical leadership within the team.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, services, and resources to ensure availability, performance, and security.
- Administer enterprise productivity and collaboration platforms, including identity messaging and communication services.
- Implement and maintain system security controls, access policies, monitoring, and compliance standards.
- Lead system enhancement initiatives, including automation, service optimization, and configuration improvements.
- Oversee cloud resource provisioning, lifecycle management, and cost optimization activities.
- Support the development of cloud and infrastructure strategies, standards, and best practices.
- Lead and participate in service migrations, upgrades, and integration projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues and improve service delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior administrators.
- Maintain accurate documentation, configurations, and operational procedures.
About you
- Advanced experience in AWS (EC2, VPC, RDS, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, Lambda, CloudFormation).
- Strong Windows Server and/or Linux administration skills.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure EntraID, Exchange Online.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (DNS, VPN, firewall, routing).
- Experience with scripting/automation (PowerShell, Python).
- Knowledge of IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Strong understanding of security best practices and general IT governance concepts.
- Experience with monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and system hardening.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.Excellent communication and documentation skills.
