Job summary

LCC - Liberty Commercial Center Inc. is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to design, implement, and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and performance.

You will manage servers (physical and virtual), administer Windows and Linux environments, apply patches, back up data, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with IT teams and vendors. Ideally, you have hands-on experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP),

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of systems administration experience.
• Strong Windows Server and/or Linux experience.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Cloud knowledge (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
• Solid networking and security fundamentals.
• Scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, Bash).
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Job Summary
The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the organization’s IT infrastructure. This role ensures system reliability, security, and performance while providing leadership in troubleshooting complex issues and supporting business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and monitor servers (physical and virtual), operating systems, and core IT infrastructure

• Administer Windows and/or Linux environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy

• Oversee system security, access controls, patch management, and backup/recovery processes

• Design and implement infrastructure improvements to enhance performance, scalability, and reliability

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system, network, and application issues

• Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders on infrastructure projects

• Lead system upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery planning

• Document system configurations, procedures, and policies

• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior system administrators

• Ensure compliance with internal policies and industry best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

• 3+ years of experience in systems administration or a related role

• Strong experience with Windows Server and/or Linux systems

• Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is an advantage

• Solid understanding of networking concepts and security principles

• Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, etc.)

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
