Job summary

WeConnect Technology Philippines is seeking an IT/Network Specialist to support regional staff in Cebu City. The role covers OS installation, desktop support, and office software provisioning for both local and international employees.

Experience with Java network programming, MySQL, Oracle, and Redis is highly valued. You will conduct information security audits, manage assets, and maintain network devices in the regional office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/College Degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Experience: 3+ years in IT/Network/Database Admin or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of Java network programming and distributed systems design.
• Proficiency in MySQL and Oracle databases; Redis experience is a plus.
• Willingness to work extended hours and Saturdays.
• Office location in Cebu City, Philippines.

Responsibilities

• Install OS and provide IT support for local and international staff in the region.
• Troubleshoot office software and desktop faults; support network devices (printers, VC, projectors, access control).
• Perform information security audits and data/system cleanup per company policy.
• Manage assets and regional office IT equipment and software licenses.
• Support new staff onboarding (ID activation, access control rights, software installations).
• Coordinate IT maintenance and network fault reporting for the regional office.

Job description

Job Description:

• The OS installation service is provided for international and local employees in the region;

• Provide IT technical support for office software and desktop faults for international employees and local employees in the corresponding area;

• Provides troubleshooting and repair services for office network faults for international employees and local employees in the corresponding area;

• Providing IT technical support for new staff workers in the local area (OS installation, office software installation, ID activation, office access control right activation etc.);

• Perform the information security audit operation for the area away from the staff engineering computer (data cleaning, system reset and system permission withdrawal according to the company information security requirements);

• Daily maintenance and troubleshooting of public network devices (printers, video conference terminals, projectors, access control systems, and monitoring systems) in the regional office;

• Fixed assets management in the regional office (assets ledger management, assets purchase follow-up, assets requisition and allocation);

• Local carrier network application, fault reporting, and reminder in the regional office;

• Information Security Coordinator Conduct Audit/Spot Checking to all employees (Regular/Outsourcing Staff) and all others regarding Information security implementation;

• Other support administrative works

Qualifications:

• At least Bachelor's/College Degree in Information Technology or any related field

• At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position

• At Least 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employee specialized in IT/Computer - Network/System/Database Admin or equivalent

• Solid foundation in Java, familiar with Java network programming, experienced in designing and developing large-scale distributed systems, familiar with Redis-based design and development, proficient in MySQL and Oracle databases, familiar with indexing principles and database optimization; good at thinking, proactive, strong communication skills, team-oriented, able to handle pressure.

• Willing to work in extended hours

• Willing to work from Mondays to Saturdays
