Job summary

Home Credit Philippines is seeking an IT SASApplication Senior Specialist to operate, administer, and support SAS environments. You will work with DevOps and data teams to ensure reliable SAS solutions, including SAS 9.x and SAS Viya, while guiding analysts and data scientists.

You will troubleshoot incidents, optimize performance, and maintain documentation. A strong SAS background, Linux experience, and collaboration skills are essential in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting SAS applications in an enterprise environment.
• Strong experience with SAS platforms (SAS 9.x and/or SAS Viya preferred).
• Working knowledge of SAS programming and job execution.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and SQL databases.
• Experience with application monitoring, scheduling, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with DevOps concepts, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support for SAS applications and platforms.
• Monitor health, performance, and availability to meet SLAs.
• Troubleshoot incidents, defects, and performance issues.
• Collaborate with analysts, data engineers, QA, and DevOps teams.
• Support installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades of SAS software.
• Ensure integration with databases and data sources; coordinate with infra and DB teams.
• Assist with changes, enhancements, and new feature deployments.
• Act as SME for SAS applications and guide users.
• Maintain runbooks, documentation, and user guides; ensure security and compliance.

About the Job:

As a member of the scrum and support teams, the IT SASApplication Senior Specialist is responsible for the operation, administration,maintenance, and support of SAS applications and platforms. The role ensuresstable, secure, and performant SAS environments, supports business users, andworks closely with development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to ensure endto end service reliability of SAS solutions.

What you will do

• Provideday-to-day operational support for SAS applications (e.g., SAS 9.x, SAS Viya,SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS DI, SAS BI).
• Monitorapplication health, performance, and availability, ensuring SLAs are met.
• Troubleshootand resolve application incidents, defects, and performance issues.
• Collaboratewith business analysts, data engineers, QA/application specialists and DevOpsand other IT functions
• Supportinstallation, configuration, patching, and upgrades of SAS software.
• Ensuresmooth integration of SAS applications with databases, data sources, andupstream/downstream systems.
• Coordinatewith infrastructure and database teams to maintain stable environments
• Supportapplication changes, enhancements, and new feature deployments in line withchange management processes.
• Participatein system upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives (e.g., SAS 9 toSAS Viya).
• Actas a subject matter expert (SME) for SAS applications, providing guidance toanalysts, data scientists, and business users.
• Assistusers with job scheduling, data processing, reporting, and performanceoptimization.
• Createand maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and user guides
• Ensureapplications comply with security, data privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Implementbest practices for system stability, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
• Supportaudits and risk assessments as required.

What you need to have

• Minimum5 years of experience supporting SAS application in an enterprise environment
• Strong experience with SASplatforms (SAS 9.x and/or SAS Viya preferred).
• Working knowledge of SASprogramming and job execution.
• Experience with supporting SASRTDM and ESP
• Understandingof various logs and setting up logging
• Experience with Linux/Unixenvironments.
• Working knowledge of SQL andrelational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.).
• Experience with applicationmonitoring, scheduling, and troubleshooting.
• Understandingof data sources platforms (relational databases, kafka, rabbitMQ, hadoop,files)
• Basicknowledge of GIT, Ansible, Kubernetes – using, managing, installing,configuring
• Basicknowledge of programming languages and file formats (java, python, xml, json,wsdl
• Stronganalytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effectivecommunication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiplepriorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working as abusiness analyst in an agile environment
• Familiarity in analysis andmodeling tools
• Post graduate diploma incourses related to IT/ Business Analysis / Process Engineering
• CBAP/IIBA Certification
• Familiarity with collaborationtools such as JIRA and Confluence
