Ascendion is seeking an experienced IT Software Project Manager to lead software and IT projects from planning through implementation, go-live, stabilization, and closure. You will ensure delivery against scope, timeline, quality, and objectives while actively managing risks, issues, and changes.
Ideal candidates have 5+ years in project management, with IT/software project experience, and strong knowledge of PM methodologies.
We are looking for an experienced IT Software Project Manager who will be responsible for managing software and IT projects from planning through implementation, go-live, stabilization, and project closure. The successful candidate will ensure that projects are delivered according to agreed scope, timeline, quality, and objectives, while effectively managing stakeholders, risks, issues, and project changes.
Create and manage project plans, schedules, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
Define project scope, objectives, requirements, and resource needs.
Coordinate project teams and ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
Manage stakeholders and maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates and presentations to stakeholders and management.
Identify, track, and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and action items.
Manage project scope and change requests, including assessing their impact on timelines and resources.
Ensure project deliverables meet required quality standards.
Monitor project scope, timeline, and overall delivery against the approved plan.
Coordinate software implementation, deployment, cutover, go-live, stabilization, and project closure activities.
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
At least 5 years of relevant Project Management experience.
Experience managing IT, software development, software implementation, or technology projects.
Demonstrated experience managing projects from planning through implementation and/or go-live.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, techniques, and tools.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Experience managing project risks, issues, scope changes, timelines, and deliverables.
Experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid project management methodologies is an advantage.
Proficiency in project management tools is an advantage.
Project Management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent is a plus.
