Job summary

PLDT is seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead complex SAP and non-SAP projects in a high-visibility setting in Makati. The role requires coordinating cross-functional teams, managing stakeholders, and ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of ERP/PM experience and hands-on SAP project management expertise, including ASAP/Activate methodologies, and strong contract and vendor management skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of ERP functional or business process experience.
• Minimum 5 years experience as Project Manager.
• Experience in managing large, complex enterprise projects using SAP.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee successful delivery of SAP and non-SAP projects, aligning with business objectives, timelines and budgets.
• Oversee full lifecycle from planning/blueprinting to go-live, ensuring SAP integration.
• Define scope, objectives and deliverables with business stakeholders and tech teams.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules and SAP workstreams, including module timelines.
• Lead project execution across all phases: requirements, blueprinting, development, testing, migration, go-live.
• Monitor progress against KPIs, deliverables and timelines.
• Ensure SAP projects follow SAP best practices and methodologies (ASAP, Activate).
• Serve as primary contact for stakeholders including business users, IT teams and consultants.
• Manage relationships with vendors/partners, ensuring integration and delivery.
• Communicate updates, risks, and changes; obtain approvals.
• Develop budgets, allocate resources, and monitor costs to stay within financial limits.
• Lead vendor contracting processes with legal and procurement; monitor milestones and compliance.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation plans for system integration, data migration, and training.
• Collaborate with OCM teams to ensure smooth user transition and adoption.
• Engage with stakeholders to align priorities with business goals and strategy.
• Coordinate with Solution/Enterprise architects to ensure SAP alignment with IT architecture.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, and consultants.
• Manage relationships with external vendors and partners, including SAP service providers, ensuring proper integration, support, and delivery.
• Communicate project updates, risks, and changes to key stakeholders and obtain necessary approvals.
• Develop and manage project budgets, resource allocation, and monitor cost tracking to ensure that projects are delivered within financial constraints.
• Lead the process of contracting with vendors, service providers, and third‑party consultants. Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of contracts, amendments, and renewals. Monitor contract compliance and milestones.
• Identify project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies for SAP project phases, such as system integration, data migration, and user training. Implement contingency plans to handle scope or schedule changes and unexpected challenges.
• Collaborate with organizational change management (OCM) teams to ensure a smooth transition for users impacted by SAP implementations.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their priorities, challenges and strategic objectives, ensuring that project outcomes meet business needs.
• Collaborate with Solution/Enterprise architects to ensure that SAP solutions align with the overall IT architecture and business strategy.
