Job summary

The Philippine Football Federation in Carmona, Cavite is seeking an IT/MIS Officer to join our Technology team. This full-time role supports our digital infrastructure and information systems to ensure smooth operations across all departments.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS and 3–5 years’ IT/MIS experience, with solid TCP/IP knowledge, Windows/Linux administration, database familiarity, backups and security practices, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• The role requires a Bachelor's degree in IT/CS and 3–5 years in IT/MIS support, networks, or systems.
• Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and multi-OS environments.
• Experience with backups, DR, security controls, and IT governance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain network infrastructure for optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Provide end-user technical support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Manage servers, databases, and storage for business-critical apps.
• Implement security protocols including access controls and firewalls.
• Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures.
• Install, configure, and upgrade software/hardware components.
• Maintain documentation of IT systems and procedures.
• Collaborate with departments to meet technical requirements and challenges.
• Develop and implement IT policies aligned with standards.
• Monitor performance and propose improvements and cost optimisations.

About the role

The Philippine Football Federation is seeking a dedicated IT/MIS Officer to join our growing Technology team in Carmona, Cavite. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting our organisation's digital infrastructure and information systems. As IT/MIS Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimising our networks and systems to ensure seamless operations across all departments. This role is essential to enabling the Federation to focus on its core mission of developing football in the Philippines whilst maintaining robust technological systems that support administrative and operational functions.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime across all organisational systems
• Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues in a timely manner
• Manage and administer servers, databases, and storage systems to support business-critical applications
• Implement and maintain security protocols, including user access controls, firewall configurations, and data protection measures
• Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard organisational data
• Install, configure, and upgrade software and hardware components as required
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures
• Collaborate with other departments to identify and resolve technical requirements and challenges
• Assist in developing and implementing IT policies and procedures aligned with organisational standards
• Monitor system performance and provide recommendations for improvements and cost optimisation

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in IT/MIS support, network administration, or systems administration
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, including TCP/IP, routing, and switching protocols
• Proficiency with operating systems such as Windows Server, Linux, and Windows desktop environments
• Experience with database administration and management tools
• Sound understanding of cybersecurity principles and IT governance best practices
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Knowledge of helpdesk ticketing systems and IT service management tools
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities in English
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Cisco CCNA are advantageous
• Experience with cloud-based services and virtualisation technologies is preferred
