Job summary

The Philippine Football Federation in Carmona, Cavite, is seeking an Accounting Supervisor/Manager to lead the Finance team and ensure accurate financial reporting under PFRS.

You will manage daily accounting operations, oversee staff, ensure tax compliance, and provide strategic guidance to senior management, while safeguarding data confidentiality and strengthening internal controls. This is a full-time, on-site role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• CPA or CMA is highly preferred.
• 5-7 years of accounting experience, with 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of PFRS and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
• Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the accounting team and manage staff performance.
• Oversee daily accounting operations: AP, AR, GL, month-end close.
• Prepare and review financial statements per PFRS and regulations.
• Manage fixed assets register and asset reconciliations.
• Ensure timely tax filings and statutory compliance.
• Develop accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Monitor bank reconciliations and cash management.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support audits.
• Provide variance analyses and financial insights to senior management.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and perform other duties.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor/Manager to join our Finance team at our headquarters in Carmona, Cavite. This is a full‑time position that plays a critical role in ensuring the financial health and compliance of the Philippine Football Federation. As Accounting Supervisor/Manager, you will oversee the day‑to‑day accounting operations, manage accounting staff, and provide strategic financial guidance to support our organisational objectives. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and supporting senior management with timely and reliable financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the accounting team, including staff scheduling, performance management, training and professional development
• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger reconciliation and month‑end close procedures
• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and applicable regulations
• Manage the fixed assets register and conduct regular asset reconciliations
• Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, including income tax returns and other statutory compliance requirements
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures and internal controls to minimise errors and fraud
• Monitor and reconcile bank accounts and maintain proper cash management practices
• Coordinate with external auditors and prepare necessary documentation for audit requirements
• Provide financial analysis and variance reports to senior management to support strategic decision‑making
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and ensure data security
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Commerce or a related field
• Professional accounting certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) is highly preferred
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in accounting roles, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity
• Strong knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), tax regulations and accounting best practices
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Excellent analytical, organisational and problem‑solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop accounting staff
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Knowledge of non‑profit or sports organisation accounting is advantageous
