Job summary

About the role

The Philippine Football Federation is seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Specialist to join our marketing and communications team on a full-time basis. Based in Carmona, Cavite, you will play a crucial role in building and nurturing our online community, amplifying our brand presence across multiple social platforms, and driving meaningful engagement with football enthusiasts throughout the nation. This position is central to our digital strategy and will have a direct impact on how we connect with fans, players, and stakeholders in the digital space.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, create and curate engaging content across all social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and YouTube
• Plan and execute social media campaigns that align with the Philippine Football Federation's strategic objectives and seasonal events
• Monitor social media channels, respond to comments and messages, and build meaningful relationships with followers and community members
• Analyse social media performance metrics and provide regular reports on engagement, reach and audience growth
• Collaborate with internal teams including communications, marketing and events to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms
• Stay updated on social media trends, algorithm changes and best practices to optimise content performance
• Manage social media advertising campaigns and optimise budgets to achieve maximum return on investment
• Identify opportunities for partnerships and collaborations with influencers and relevant organisations to expand reach
• Create and maintain a content calendar that reflects upcoming matches, tournaments and significant dates in the football calendar
• Handle crisis communication on social platforms in coordination with senior management

What we’re looking for

• 2-4 years of proven experience working as a Social Media Specialist or similar role in digital marketing
• Demonstrated expertise in managing multiple social media platforms and creating platform-specific content
• Strong understanding of social media analytics tools and the ability to interpret data to inform strategy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write compelling, engaging copy for diverse audiences
• Creative mindset with strong visual storytelling abilities and experience with multimedia content creation
• Proficiency in social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social or similar platforms
• Knowledge of social media advertising platforms including Facebook Ads Manager, Instagram Ads and YouTube advertising
• Passion for football and understanding of the sports industry, particularly football in the Philippines
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Experience with video editing software and graphic design tools is highly desirable
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment whilst maintaining independent initiative
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or related field, or equivalent practical experience
