The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's software systems, business applications, and IT solutions to ensure they are reliable, secure, efficient, and aligned with operational needs. The position manages software implementation, administration, maintenance, enhancements, system integrations, troubleshooting, user access, licensing, configurations, data integrity, backups, and application security. The role works closely with various departments to identify system requirements and translate business needs into practical technology solutions. The IT Manager also evaluates new technology solutions, supports software-related projects, and drives continuous improvement to ensure critical business applications remain functional, secure, and responsive to changing business requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the development, maintenance, enhancement, and implementation of the company's software applications and business systems.
- Develop, modify, test, debug, and maintain software applications based on business and departmental requirements.
- Analyze existing systems and processes to identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and improvement through software solutions.
- Gather and translate user and departmental requirements into functional system specifications, application features, and programming solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain databases, including data structures, queries, reports, stored procedures, and data integrations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application errors, programming issues, system bugs, performance problems, and data-related concerns.
- Conduct software testing, debugging, validation, and deployment to ensure applications are functional, reliable, secure, and aligned with requirements.
- Supervise and provide technical direction to programmers, developers, and IT support personnel in software-related projects and system concerns.
- Implement appropriate application security controls, user access permissions, data protection measures, and secure programming practices.
- Monitor application performance, database integrity, system availability, and overall reliability of critical business applications.
About you
- Graduate of BS Information Technology, BS Computer Science, BS Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or other related IT/technology degree.
- At least 3 years relevant IT experience, preferably with Managerial or team-lead experience.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, systems administration, and technical troubleshooting.
- Experience in managing IT infrastructure, network connectivity, system security, and IT assets.
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capable of managing multiple IT concerns, projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to analyze technical problems and provide practical and timely solutions.
