Job summary

Home Credit Philippines is seeking an IT Java Developer to craft, test, and manage software supporting core business and financial processes. You will work in a scrum team, plan, design, and launch applications, while collaborating with IT stakeholders to meet business needs.

Minimum 1–2 years in Java development, with strong knowledge of Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, and REST APIs. Hybrid work setup offered with opportunities for growth in a dynamic financial tech environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a Java Developer role.
• Experience in the financial domain is a plus.
• Proficient in Java (Core) with minimal guidance.
• Experience with Git/version control and RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and Spring ecosystem.

Job description

As a member of scrum team, the IT Java Developer's role is to research, plan, design, develop, launch and/or manage efficient business, financial, and/or operations systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes. This involves understanding user needs, developing software solutions, monitoring performance, and modifying programs as needed..

What You Will Do

• Development of new software to meet business requirements
• Monitoring and configuration of deployed applications
• Maintenance of deployed applications according to necessary changes
• Preparation of development documentation, engagement in operation manuals and/or training materials as needed
• Perform software techniques such as test-driven development in delivering and maintaining working software
• Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, QA/application specialist and DevOps and other IT functions
• Participate on interesting projects and innovations that help company grow
• Become a recognized team member in a friendly and agile environment

What You Need To Have

• Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a Java Developer role.
• Experience working with in financial business is a plus
• Working proficiency in Programming Aptitude (language independent)
• Working knowledge in flowcharting
• Working knowledge in Java (Core) with minimum guidance
• Familiarity in Git/Version Control/Repository
• Working knowledge in test driven development
• Working knowledge in: Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Maven, REST API, Git, JMS, WebLogic with minimum guidance
• Working knowledge in microservices architecture and Java generics
• Working knowledge in spring framework and spring boots
• Working knowledge in test driven development
• Working Knowledge in OO design and software design patterns

What Can Set You Apart

• Familiarity of MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL Databases, flowcharting, shell scripting (Linux/Windows), UI/UX
• Familiarity of Lambda expressions and microservice architecture
• Familiarity of messaging service (e.g., JMS, Rabbit MQ, Kafka) and big data platform (e.g., Hadoop)
• Familiarity of basic security and networking
• Familiarity of AI/Robotics/Automation and Cloud Computing
