Job summary

Home Credit Philippines is seeking a Senior DevOps Specialist with deep DevOps expertise to mentor teams, design new diagrams and processes, and drive delivery improvements across Scrum teams. You will work with the DevOps Team Lead to implement build, deployment, and configuration management, creating automation to reduce manual tasks while strengthening security and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of DevOps experience.
• Experience mentoring DevOps teams.
• Strong scripting skills in Python/PowerShell.
• Proficiency with Linux and Windows fundamentals.
• Expert in Git and SCM workflows.
• Hands-on with Puppet/CHEF/Ansible configuration management.
• CI/CD with GitLab, TeamCity, or Azure DevOps.
• Advanced monitoring with Splunk/Grafana/Kibana/ELK.
• Containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Cloud basics: Azure and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Scrum Teams to solve complex tasks.
• Coach DevOps specialists and juniors on DevOps tasks.
• Design new workflows and diagrams for DevOps processes.
• Strategize utilization of new DevOps technologies.
• Balance DevOps tasks with security and compliance duties.
• Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management.
• Create automation to reduce manual tasks.
• Monitor projects and provide metrics to improve delivery.
• Administer DevOps tools per project and provide support.

About The Job

The Senior DevOps Specialist has an extensive skill and understanding as a DevOps Evangelist. Experienced in using different DevOps tools and can mentor DevOps and Junior DevOps specialist. Works directly with the DevOps Team Lead to help create, design new diagrams and processes for the improvement of the deliveries. Can be assigned to specific Scrum Team or specific complex initiatives.

What You Will Do

• Works directly with different Scrum Teams to solve more complex tasks
• Can coach DevOps Specialist and Junior DevOps initiatives in doing DevOps tasks.
• Suggest, create, or design new process workflow and new diagrams if needed for DevOps team
• Work closely with DevOps team lead especially in strategizing the utilization of new DevOps technologies and current tools
• Lessen technical risks by not just focusing on technical DevOps tasks, but also takes care of the Security and Compliance side
• Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management for Scrum Teams
• Create and provide automation to minimize manual tasks to work efficiently for the company or Scrum Team
• Monitor and create metrics per projects to improve development delivery
• Monitor, manage and be an effective admin of DevOps tools per projects for Scrum Teams
• Create additional monitoring metrics for Scrum Teams if needed
• Provide support to scrum Teams as an expert to the Projects assigned

What You Need To Have

• At least 5 years and above working experience as DevOps
• Experienced working in a dynamic culture
• Expert in Scripting Language like python, PowerShell, etc.
• Advanced in Linux or windows fundamentals
• Expert in using Source Code Management Tools like GIT
• Expert in Configuration Management Tools like Puppet, CHEF, Ansible, etc.
• Expert in Continuous Integration Tools like GitLab, TeamCity, GitLab, Azure DevOps, etc.
• Basic query fundamentals
• Advanced in monitoring tools like Splunk, Grafana, Kibana, ELK, etc.
• Expert in Containerization Tools like Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
• Expert in Continuous Delivery Tools like Maven, Gradle, Ant, Jboss, etc.
• Advanced knowledge in Cloud Fundamentals like Azure, AWS
• Advanced understanding in DevOps Key Concepts and Processes
