Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is looking for an IT Asset Management Analyst to serve as the technical bridge between the organization and a third-party ServiceNow vendor delivering a Hardware Asset Management Professional (HAM Pro) implementation. This is a hands-on advisory and governance role: you will not configure the module yourself, but you must know it well enough to set requirements, direct the vendor's work, and critically review and sign off on every design decision.

What You Will Do

• Serve as the technical interface to the ServiceNow HAM Pro implementation vendor, defining requirements and directing configuration of hardware stockrooms, asset lifecycle models, normalization, and CMDB reconciliation.
• Review, test, and validate vendor-delivered workflows, business rules, UI policies, and reporting within ServiceNow HAM Pro before go-live.
• Guide and validate the ServiceNow HAM Pro to Flexera integration, including data reconciliation and normalization.
• Develop and maintain IT asset governance policies, standards, and procedures.
• Define ITAM KPIs and data quality metrics, and direct the vendor in configuring the related reporting.
• Build management dashboards and reports on asset inventory, lifecycle status, compliance, and risk.
• Identify gaps and control issues across the IT asset lifecycle and direct corrective action.

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in IT Asset Management, IT Service Management, or related IT operations roles.
• Strong technical knowledge of ServiceNow HAM Pro, sufficient to direct and critically validate a vendor's technical designs; general or functional familiarity with ServiceNow alone is not enough.
• Working technical knowledge of ServiceNow platform configuration capabilities, including Business Rules, UI Policies, Flow Designer/Workflow, ACLs, and Performance Analytics.
• Working knowledge of Flexera or an equivalent software asset management tool and its integration with ServiceNow.
• Experience overseeing third-party IT vendors, including reviewing technical deliverables and conducting acceptance testing, is preferred.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and/or a HAM Pro/ITAM micro-certification, and ITIL certification or knowledge, are preferred.
