Job summary

Converge ICT Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced network planning and operations professional to lead IP Core and IP Transport design and deployment within an ISP environment. You will analyze capacity, plan expansions, document designs, and coordinate cross-functional teams for large-scale projects.

You should have strong MPLS, BGP, OSPF/IS-IS, SR-MPLS, SRv6, QoS, and proven experience in RFPs and vendor evaluations. CCNP/HCIP certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Electronics Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in IP Core and IP-transport on an ISP environment.
• Knowledge in Optical Transport network is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of MPLS (LDP, RSVP-TE)
• BGP, OSPF, IS-IS
• SR-MPLS and SRv6
• QoS, Traffic Engineering
• Experience in large-scale network deployment projects.
• Experience in RFP creation and vendor technical evaluation.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.
• Relevant certifications (preferred): CCNP, HCIP and the likes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation of Request for Proposal (RFP) documents for network infrastructure projects.
• Define technical requirements, evaluation criteria, and scope of work.
• Conduct technical evaluations of vendor proposals.
• Participate in Proof of Concept (POC) activities to validate solutions prior to full-scale deployment.
• Design and execute POC testing for new technologies and solutions.
• Validate performance, scalability, interoperability, and resiliency.
• Document findings and provide technical recommendations.
• Maintain updated network documentation, topology diagrams, IP addressing plans, and routing policies.
• Ensure all configurations and implementation activities are properly documented.
• Provide technical reports and executive summaries for management review.

Key Responsibilities

Network Planning & Design

• Plan, design, implement, and validate IP Core and IP Transport network infrastructure.

• Develop detailed Low-Level Design (LLD) documents based on approved High-Level Network Design (HLD) and master plans.

• Scope and design network expansion initiatives to support business growth and traffic demands.

• Ensure network architecture follows industry best practices for scalability, resiliency, and performance.

Network Assessment & Capacity Planning

• Conduct continuous network assessments across all network domains (IP Core, Backbone, Transport, Aggregation, Access, DCI).

• Analyze routing tables, traffic statistics, link utilization, latency, and performance metrics to assess overall network health.

• Identify capacity gaps, performance bottlenecks, and potential risks.

• Perform constant network assessment to scope and justify requirements for annual CAPEX budgeting.

• Provide data-driven recommendations for network upgrades and expansion.

Network Improvement & Maintenance Planning

• Develop and execute network improvement plans based on assessment findings.

• Plan preventive maintenance and optimization initiatives.

• Ensure implementation activities minimize service impact and risk.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless network upgrades.

Implementation & Project Delivery

• Deliver and support large-scale IP Core and IP Backbone projects.

• Create detailed Method of Procedure (MOP) documents for network implementation.
