About the job Network Operations Engineer III - Access

Summary:

Work Closely with Team Lead and Engineer II to perform assigned complex tasks such as Monitoring and ensuring Redundancy, Resiliency, and Capacity of companys International MPLS backbone, IP Core Facilities (Border, Internet Core and IP Edge, CGN Network, CDN Network), Local MPLS backbone, Aggregation, and Access Network as well as handling Network Maintenance Activities to provide the best service to Valued Customers.

Education:

Bachelors/College degree in ECE, CPE, IT or equivalent.

CCNA/HCNA/HCNP Certification or any equivalent from other Vendor.

At least 3-4 years of relevant experience in Network related job is highly required for this position.

Technical Knowledge:

Extensive knowledge and experience in Routing and Switching Implementation and Operation.

Knowledge in configuration and troubleshooting of different data communication equipment such as CISCO, HUAWEI, ALLIED TELESIS, EDGE-CORE and other network equipment.

Knowledge and skills in Design, Implementation, Operation and troubleshooting of Layer2 and Layer3 protocols.

Extensive knowledge in BGP Routing protocol. Has the ability and experience in manipulating inbound and outbound routes using route policy based on the BGP Attributes.

Knowledge in Network Security.

Knowledge in MPLS, IP Core, CDN, CGN, Aggregation, Access, PTN, CPE and SDH.

Network Design, Implementation, Operation, Maintenance and Troubleshooting.

Knowledge in Fiber Optic Technology as well as experience in operating fiber optic cable and ethernet test equipment.

Knowledge in handling network provisioning tools and maintenance of ISPs upstream providers, PNIs, International and Local IX Peering.

Experience in managing Network Monitoring Tools.

Knowledge in Access Network such as EPON and GPON.

Knowledge in BRAS and CGNAT appliance.

Business Understanding:

Experience in working on ISP or Telecommunication company.

Knowledge in computer based office works such as MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint presentation.

Network Capacity Management

Assist Engineer II in generating Augmentation Plan to ensure a sufficient number of managed Network Element Interfaces.

Handles generating recommendations for more complex Augmentation Plan Setup.

Network Assurance Management

Assist Engineer II in generating Augmentation Plan for Network Elements Link Redundancy and Resiliency.

Participates and work closely with other Groups under Network Operation to perform comprehensive and thorough troubleshooting for escalated more complex issues encountered by Managed/Controlled NEs. Escalates to Team Lead when Situation requires.

Assist the Engineer II, participates, and coordinates to Vendor Support and 3rd Party Providers to further check and troubleshoot Network related issue.

Assist Engineer I and II in handling Provisioning, Maintenance Activities, and Troubleshooting of Network Management Tools including POC of prospect NMS Tools.

Perform other duties assigned by Management.

Provisioning and Network Diagram Responsibilities

Assist Engineers on Provisioning of Upstream Capacity, (Tier 1 ISPs, Local and International IX, and PNIs), International MPLS Backbone, Local MPLS Backbone, Border Gateway, Internet Core, CDN, CGNAT, IP Edge, Metro E Aggregation and Access (Including EPON and GPON) facilities.

Assist Engineer II in creating detailed Network diagram.

Responsible for the allocations of Access Network Facilities Private IP Plan as well as network configurations and coordination to other Team under Network Operations.

Perform other duties assigned by Management.

Network Activity Management

Perform Major and Complex Maintenance Activities covering International and Local MPLS Backbone, Border Gateway, Internet Core, CDN, CGNAT, IP Edge, Metro E Aggregation and Access (Including EPON and GPON) facilities which includes Firmware upgrade, Expansion and Capacity Upgrade.

Handles Provisioning, Maintenance Activities, and Troubleshooting of Network Management Tools including POC of prospect NMS Tools.

Assist Engineer II in creating detailed Network diagram in every Network Change made.

Perform other duties assigned by Management.
