Responsibilities

• Verify supplier invoices match purchase orders and goods received (three-way matching) on price, quantity, and terms.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies with Buying, Receiving, and suppliers.
• Ensure VAT and withholding tax are applied correctly before posting invoices.
• Record and track invoices in the system and endorse to Accounts Payable for timely payment.
• Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on unmatched/aged invoices.
• Provide status, discrepancies, and aging reports and support audits.

About the role

Makro Philippines (CP Axtra AC Corporation) is looking for an Invoice Control Officer to verify and process supplier invoices accurately and on time, making sure they match purchase orders and goods received before they move to payment. You'll play a key part in keeping our payables accurate and our supplier relationships healthy as we grow our wholesale footprint in the Philippines. It suits a detail-oriented professional who enjoys getting the numbers right.

What you'll do:

• Make sure supplier invoices match purchase orders and goods received (three-way matching) on price, quantity, and terms
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies together with Buying, Receiving, and suppliers
• Check that documents are complete and that VAT and withholding tax are applied correctly before invoices are posted
• Record and track invoices in the system, and endorse validated invoices to Accounts Payable so suppliers are paid within agreed terms
• Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on unmatched and aged invoices
• Report on invoice status, discrepancies, and aging, and support audits with clear documentation

Things to help you succeed in the role:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related program
• At least 2 years of experience in invoice processing, accounts payable, or similar accounting roles
