So-En Garments Corporation is seeking an Inventory Planner to plan, allocate, and ensure on-time material availability for each production order. You will coordinate inventory management activities and maintain accurate records across multiple items.
Responsibilities include daily monitoring of fabric and accessory availability, processing transmittals, and updating the inventory system. Regularly review stock levels and participate in periodic cycle counts to prevent obsolescence.
Job description:
I. JOB SUMMARY
Plan, allocate and ensure availability of needed materials completely and on time on every production order. Coordinate all activities pertaining to inventory management with all concerned and see to it that the inventory control guidelines designed to ensure the accuracy of records are being implemented. Ensure stock levels are within set limits for all continuous items while non-continuous items are monitored to the fullest. Review and adjust inventory levels as necessary to availability of materials when needed and at the same time prevent over stock. Monitor the utilization of materials per production order.
II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
DAILY:
Monitor availability of fabric & accessories based on MPS as scheduled per day.
Upon receipt of Actual Cut Volume from cutting check & compute actual volume & generate accessories transmittal.
Monitor deliver of ordered materials with purchaser as committed and stated on the purchase order if committed/expected delivery will not be on time on loading date, confer with Production coordinator for necessary corrective action.
Monitor the utilization of materials & accessories per production order non continuous items are consumed to the fullest. Prevents occurrence and accumulation of old stocks.
Generate Costing report on processed Sales Production Order (SPO) for Accounting purposes.
Update inventory system with the transaction done from the previous day:
MATERIAL TRANSMITTAL – Compute the equivalent consumption of fabric released per transmittal per SPO.
Update inventory system from the exact consumption of fabric per color per SPO.
ACCESSORIES TRANSMITTAL – Update inventory system based from actual item released.
REQUISITION FORM – encode inventory system from the fabric or accessories released through requisition form.
MRRV – update inventory system for fabric and accessories per SPO prior to costing.
Checking: Checking of Purchase Order and Accessories per SPO prior to costing system. If not due to wrong code entered, change item code.
WEEKLY:
Monitor inventory level of all continuous materials and ensure stocks do not go below minimum level or beyond maximum level.
MONTHLY:
Generate and submit the slow-moving & obsolete inventory status report to manager for reminders to utilize and/or dispose these stocks that do not conform to allowable maximum stay to warehouse to preserve their quality.
Submit monthly report Inventory Valuation Report, Accessories utilization.
Generate inventory status report after forecast to identify stocks for review and references.
Preparation of Purchase Requisitions.
QUARTERLY:
Forecast & allocate the required materials (fabric & accessories) on the Sales Production Orders. Order identified deficiencies on materials required.
Generate Inventory status report after forecast to identify stocks for review and references.
Reviews inventory levels (minimum, ideal and maximum) at periodic basis identify their accuracy against the stocks on hand. Recommends adjustments to be match against Production manager.
Initiate the conduct of cyclical count on a regular or fast-moving materials.
