The Inventory Compliance and Audit Specialist is responsible for monitoring and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of inventory records and processes. This role conducts regular audits, identifies discrepancies, and recommends corrective actions to improve inventory management and control across all locations.
Conduct periodic and surprise inventory audits in stores, warehouses, and distribution centers.
Verify inventory transactions, stock movements, and adjustments for accuracy and compliance.
Analyze inventory variances and coordinate with operations and warehouse teams for resolution.
Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and internal controls related to inventory handling.
Prepare detailed audit findings, reports, and recommendations for management review.
Monitor slow-moving, damaged, or obsolete stocks and support corrective action planning.
Assist in improving inventory systems, processes, and audit checklists.
Collaborate with finance and operations teams during month-end and year-end inventory counts.
Support training and awareness sessions on proper inventory practices and compliance.
Maintain confidentiality and integrity in all audit-related activities.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in inventory management, internal audit, or compliance.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of inventory control systems, auditing standards, and reporting procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP or inventory management systems.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Willingness to travel for on-site audits.
