Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Sales and Inventory Audit Officer to ensure the accuracy and integrity of sales and inventory records across company operations. The role is responsible for auditing sales transactions, reconciling inventory reports, verifying stock movements, and identifying discrepancies between actual and recorded data. This position plays a critical role in safeguarding company assets, detecting errors or fraud, and maintaining compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular audits of sales transactions and physical inventory counts to verify accuracy against official records
- Compare physical inventory counts with POS/system records and identify discrepancies
- Investigate inventory and sales variances, including potential theft, miscounts, system errors, or process gaps
- Analyze audit data to determine root causes of discrepancies and inventory shrinkage
- Prepare detailed audit findings and variance reports for management review
- Recommend corrective actions and process improvements to strengthen internal controls
- Collaborate with Procurement, Operations, Finance, and other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve inventory procedures
- Ensure all inventory transactions and audit procedures comply with company policies and regulatory standards
Daily Operational Activities:
- Review daily sales reports and validate inventory record accuracy
- Conduct spot checks and cycle counts in warehouses and store locations
- Monitor stock variances and immediately report irregularities to the reporting manager
- Coordinate with stockmen, procurement, finance staff, and concerned officers to resolve inconsistenciesPrepare daily audit summaries and exception reports
- Verify compliance of inventory processes with internal policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Management, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 1–2 years experience in inventory audit, sales audit, internal audit, or related role
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and POS systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and integrity
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Willing to conduct field/store/warehouse audits when required
