Job summary

Access Offshoring is hiring a remote Bookkeeper in the Philippines. You will handle day-to-day bookkeeping in Xero for accounts payable and receivable, maintain accurate records, and support collections and customer communications.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping in Xero across AP/AR.
• Maintain accurate records and enter data correctly.
• Support collections and follow up on outstanding accounts.
• Communicate with customers mainly by email; occasional calls.
• Collaborate with Finance Manager and finance team; escalate issues when needed.
• Assist with Xero-based lodgement activities as required.
• Support broader finance tasks as assigned.

Job description

This is a remote position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete day-to-day bookkeeping activities in Xero across accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in Xero and ensure bookkeeping information is entered correctly.
• Support account collections and follow up outstanding customer accounts as required.
• Communicate with customers primarily by email regarding accounts matters, with occasional phone communication where needed.
• Work closely with the local Finance Manager and wider finance team, escalating questions or discrepancies when required.
• Support the broader finance function with other Xero-based bookkeeping activities as assigned.
• Where capability and system access allow, assist with relevant lodgement activities.

Requirements

• Strong, hands‑on Xero experience
• Practical bookkeeping experience across both accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy when handling financial information.
• Strong written English for customer and internal email communication. A clear, professional communicator with both internal stakeholders and customers.
• Able to work effectively with a Finance Manager and other internal finance team members.
• Organised, dependable and comfortable managing ongoing bookkeeping responsibilities in a full‑time role.
• Comfortable asking questions and escalating discrepancies rather than making assumptions.
• Takes ownership of work and understands the importance of minimising errors in an engine‑room finance function.
