Baldo Construction and Development Corporation is seeking a skilled Survey Instrument Man to support civil and structural projects. You will operate surveying equipment on active construction sites and assist the Surveyor/Geodetic Engineer in layout and measurements.
The role requires 2–4 years of relevant experience, familiarity with Total Station, Auto Level, and CSA drawings, plus basic AutoCAD. Candidates must be physically fit and willing to deployment to project sites, including overtime
Graduate of BS Geodetic Engineering, Geomatics Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
2–4 years of relevant experience as an Instrument Man, Survey Aide, or similar position in a construction company.
Experience in Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) construction is preferred.
With hands-on experience operating Total Station and Auto Level.
Knowledge of construction surveying, site layout, elevations, benchmarks, grid lines, and coordinates.
Able to read and understand Civil, Structural, and Architectural plans and drawings.
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
Physically fit and willing to work on an active construction site.
Willing to work overtime, weekends, or holidays when required by project activities.
Willing to be deployed to project sites.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate surveying instruments such as Total Station, Auto Level, and other basic surveying equipment under the supervision of the Surveyor/Geodetic Engineer.
Assist in establishing and maintaining benchmarks, reference points, control points, grid lines, and elevations on site.
Perform layout and checking of building lines, column locations, foundations, structural elements, and other construction works.
Assist in checking the horizontal and vertical alignment, levels, elevations, and dimensions of ongoing construction activities.
Conduct field measurements and assist in transferring dimensions and coordinates from approved drawings to the actual site.
Read and interpret Civil, Structural, and Architectural drawings for proper site layout and measurement.
Coordinate with Site Engineers, Surveyors, Foremen, and other construction personnel regarding required survey and layout activities.
Assist in verifying that actual construction works conform to approved plans, drawings, and specifications.
Assist in monitoring and maintaining surveying instruments and accessories, ensuring that equipment is properly handled and stored.
Report discrepancies in measurements, elevations, alignment, or site conditions to the Surveyor or concerned Site Engineer.
Perform other survey-related duties as may be assigned by the Surveyor or Project Management Team.
