Job summary

MicroSourcing is looking for a Medical Coding Auditor – Inpatient DRG to join our hybrid-day shift team in the Philippines. You will conduct quality reviews of inpatient coders, target 95% coding accuracy, and provide coaching to improve performance.

Responsibilities include auditing, preparing detailed reports, monitoring guidance compliance, and communicating findings to operational leadership. The role requires 2+ years in inpatient DRG auditing, CCS/CIC/CDIP, and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of progressive inpatient DRG coding auditing experience.
• Bachelor's degree in an allied health field (e.g., Nursing, Health Information Management, or equivalent).
• Active CCS, CIC, or CDIP certification.
• Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and MS-DRG/APR-DRG assignment.
• Proficiency in identifying POA, SOI, ROM, HACs, and PSIs.
• Experience with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills (CEFR B2).

Responsibilities

• Audit inpatient coders and perform quality reviews to maintain a 95% coding accuracy rate.
• Prepare detailed coding audit reports with actionable feedback.
• Monitor compliance with coding guidelines and initiate corrective actions.
• Analyze audit data and present findings to operational leadership.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of inpatient coding and reimbursement methodologies.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders via phone, email, and chat.
