Job summary

BDO Unibank, Inc. is seeking a senior engineer to contribute core code and advance engineering practices for cloud-based solutions. You will apply design patterns and cloud expertise to raise quality and reliability across applications and platforms.

You will collaborate with multiple teams, mentor engineers, and drive observability and maintainability while ensuring high customer satisfaction. This role is onsite in Makati/Ortigas and requires a strong 5+ years track record.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in building and delivering solutions.
• Excellent understanding and experience with Design Principles.
• Prior experience with GCP and AWS or Azure is required.
• Must be willing to work onsite in Makati/Ortigas.

Responsibilities

• Write high-quality, scalable and maintainable code as a Core contributor.
• Apply design patterns, architecture and cloud infra knowledge to improve engineering quality.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to solve complex tech problems and guide strategy for applications/platforms.

Job Summary

Responsible for building solutions and evolving the Engineering Practices for all engineers, making it easier to use the cloud, improving the productivity of engineers, and bringing observability & reliability to application.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working as a Core contributor in the team, writing great quality, scalable and maintainable code.
• Bring In-depth knowledge of design patterns, architecture & cloud infrastructure to the team and drive engineering quality.
• Work with multiple teams to solve complex technological problems, bring insights and drive application/platform-specific related strategy
• Mentor and strengthen the specific application/platform team by improving the ability to deliver great quality of work (both functional and non-functional) and keep the high bar of the craft
• Continuously improve code quality, product execution, and customer satisfaction
