Job summary

Hospitality Innovators, Inc. seeks an experienced Income Auditor to join our external audit team on a full-time basis in Surigao del Norte. You will verify income transactions, test revenue recognition, and ensure accuracy of financial records.

Required qualifications include CPA/ACCA or equivalent, IFRS/GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with audit software and MS Office. You will work independently within a collaborative team to uphold the highest professional standards.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification in accounting (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent recognised qualification) or progress towards such qualification.
• Proven experience in external audit, specifically with income and revenue audit engagements.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and audit standards relevant to income recognition.
• Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive audits of income transactions, including revenue recognition, billing processes, and cash collection procedures
• Examine supporting documentation and financial records to verify the accuracy and completeness of income entries
• Test internal controls related to income generation and identify any weaknesses or areas for improvement
• Prepare detailed audit workpapers documenting findings, observations, and recommendations
• Identify discrepancies, irregularities, or non-compliance with accounting standards and report findings to senior audit staff
• Communicate audit results and recommendations to management in a clear and professional manner
• Assist in the development of audit programmes and procedures for income-related audit areas
• Ensure compliance with external audit standards, regulatory requirements, and the firm's audit methodology
• Liaise with operational staff to gather information and clarify accounting treatments
• Contribute to continuous improvement of audit processes and efficiency

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Income Auditor to join our team on a full-time basis in Surigao del Norte, Caraga.
