Job summary

John Clements Consultants, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Logistics Coordinator to manage inbound logistics, coordinate with international suppliers, and ensure timely delivery of materials across the Greater Asia region.

The role requires 5+ years of logistics experience, strong knowledge of shipping, Incoterms, and proficiency in SAP and Excel. It is an onsite position supporting a manufacturing environment, with a Monday–Friday day or mid-shift schedule.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or any related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in logistics coordination, inbound logistics, transportation, freight management, import/export operations, or supply chain coordination.
Extensive experience in logistics coordination, preferably with regional exposure supporting multiple countries or markets, particularly across Greater Asia.
Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of international shipping processes, air/ocean/land transportation, customs clearance, import documentation, and Incoterms.
Proficient in SAP or other ERP systems and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to maintain accurate shipment data, prepare reports, and analyze logistics costs
Strong experience coordinating with international suppliers, freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, warehouses, and cross-functional teams
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple shipments and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Solutions-driven, detail-oriented, and capable of resolving logistics issues under pressure while maintaining service quality and accuracy
Strong command of English; knowledge of local or regional languages is an advantage
Experience in a multinational company, particularly in the chemical industry, is an advantage

Responsibilities

Coordinate and monitor inbound shipments from global suppliers and inter-affiliate locations, ensuring timely delivery of raw materials to support manufacturing operations across the Greater Asia region
Manage end-to-end logistics activities, including shipment tracking, transportation planning, and delivery execution
Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders to resolve delivery issues and minimize supply chain disruptions
Oversee customs clearance, import documentation, and regulatory compliance to ensure timely release of inbound shipments
Arrange transportation from ports and terminals to warehouses or manufacturing sites, ensuring timely delivery and inventory availability
Collaborate with Planning, Procurement, Warehouse, and Operations teams to align inbound logistics with production schedules and business requirements
Review freight invoices, transportation costs, and logistics expenses, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and improved efficiency
Develop and maintain logistics SOPs, standard processes, and best practices while driving continuous improvement initiatives
Monitor logistics service provider performance using key operational metrics and maintain accurate shipment records in SAP and other logistics systems
Prepare logistics reports, manage competing shipment priorities, and elevate critical delivery or operational issues when necessary
