CounselNow Pte Ltd is seeking a commercial lawyer to join its in-house legal team. The role focuses on drafting and negotiating data licensing, subscription and SaaS agreements with traders, energy companies, banks and shipping firms.

The ideal candidate has 4–10 years PQE, strong experience in commercial or technology contracts, and familiarity with data rights, IP and regulatory matters. APAC and Americas coordination will be required, including occasional early/mornings.

Qualifications

• 4–10 years' PQE in commercial law or related field.
• Strong experience with data, IP and technology contracts.
• Exposure to financial data, commodities, energy or regulated markets is a plus.
• Comfortable coordinating with stakeholders across Asia-Pacific and the Americas.

Responsabilités

• Draft and negotiate data licensing, subscription and SaaS agreements with traders, energy companies, banks and shipping firms.
• Advise on data rights, IP and permitted-use issues.
• Support regulatory and compliance matters related to price benchmarks.
• Handle sanctions and trade compliance questions on client deals.
• Review events and sponsorship contracts.
