Job summary

Helius Technologies Pte Ltd is seeking a senior in-house lawyer to draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial and technology agreements. You will provide risk-based regulatory and compliance guidance to support business objectives and engage with stakeholders across Legal, Procurement, Risk, Compliance, Cybersecurity, and Data Protection.

The role demands a strong background in contract drafting, negotiation, and advisory work, with emphasis on IT-related governance and data

Qualifications

• 4+ years PQE as an in-house lawyer with an MNC or with a reputable commercial law firm
• Law degree with admission to the Singapore Bar
• Experience in IT or familiarity with Digital/IT industries is a plus
• Analytical, proactive and tech-savvy mindset
• Excellent spoken and written English and MS Office skills

About the role

This role involves drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on a wide range of commercial, technology, procurement, licensing, and services agreements to achieve optimal calibrated legal and business outcomes for the Company. You will provide practical and risk-based legal advice on applicable laws, regulations, and governance requirements, including in the areas of contract and commercial law, cybersecurity, data protection, intellectual property, and corporate governance.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on commercial, technology, procurement, licensing, and services agreements
• Provide practical and risk-based legal advice on applicable laws, regulations, and governance requirements
• Support and manage end-to-end legal and contracting processes, including contract lifecycle management, template development, governance reviews, and approval workflows
• Advise business stakeholders on legal risks, regulatory obligations, and compliance requirements
• Enable business objectives through effective risk mitigation strategies
• Collaborate with colleagues across Legal, Procurement, Risk, Compliance, Cybersecurity, Data Protection, and other business functions

About you

• A degree in law with admission to the Singapore Bar
• Minimum 4 years' PQE gained as an in-house lawyer with an MNC or with a reputable commercial law firm
• A second degree in IT or familiarity with Digital / IT industries, IT architectures is a plus
• An agile, astute and analytical legal, business and IT-oriented mind
• A constructive and proactive attitude and approach towards innovation and tech developments with keenness to learn and adapt
• Excellent applied legal & regulatory, contracting and negotiation competencies
• High capacity to provide agile, accurate and effective advice in a fast-paced and challenging environment
