Job summary

Millennium Erectors Corporation is seeking an Import Officer to manage the importation of food products, ingredients, equipment, and supplies for restaurant operations. You will ensure compliance with import regulations, coordinate shipments with suppliers and customs brokers, and maintain timely delivery.

The role requires collaboration with purchasing, warehouse, and operations teams, handling documents, permits, invoices, and packing lists, while tracking costs and optimizing shipping

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 1–2 years of import, logistics, customs, or supply chain experience preferred.
• Experience with import documentation and customs clearance procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate import shipments with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
• Prepare and process import documentation, including permits, invoices, packing lists, and shipping documents.
• Monitor shipment schedules and ensure timely customs clearance and delivery.
• Ensure compliance with import regulations, customs requirements, and food safety standards.
• Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and operations teams regarding incoming shipments.
• Track shipment status and resolve delays or import-related issues.
• Maintain accurate import records and prepare reports as needed.
• Monitor import costs and recommend cost-effective shipping solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Customs Administration, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in import, logistics, customs, or supply chain operations is preferred.
• Knowledge of import documentation, customs clearance procedures, and shipping regulations.
• Familiarity with food import regulations is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
• To be assigned in Makati for Vito's BBQ.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in importing food products, restaurant supplies, or kitchen equipment is an advantage. Familiarity with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies related to importation is preferred.
