Job summary

8x8, Inc. is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer in Manila to own platform reliability across our global UC infrastructure. You will drive incident response, perform triage of complex issues, and lead blameless post-mortems with real follow-through.

You will build automation to reduce toil, define SLIs/SLOs, and maintain dashboards using Grafana and OCI Log Analytics. Hybrid work arrangement with on-site Tuesdays and Wednesdays at BGC, Taguig.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in site reliability, platform operations, or infrastructure engineering.
• Solid Linux systems administration with multi-service distributed systems.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (OCI/AWS/GCP/Azure).
• On-call experience with calm under pressure and clear incident communication.
• Familiarity with SRE concepts: SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, toil.
• Ability to automate tasks with Python or Bash.

Responsibilities

• Own platform reliability across global UC infrastructure and drive incident response.
• Triage and resolve complex issues including service restarts and infrastructure failures.
• Lead blameless post-mortems with follow-through and actionable items.
• Build automation to eliminate toil and improve efficiency.
• Define and track SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs; maintain dashboards (Grafana, OCI Log Analytics).
• Collaborate with Support, NOC, Engineering, Sales, and Professional Services.
• Participate in 2-week sprints to deliver automation and infrastructure improvements.
