Octal Philippines Incorporated is seeking an Application Support Engineer (L2) to handle incident management, troubleshoot SQL-driven issues, and coordinate with DevOps on deployments. The role requires 3 days onsite and 2 days work-from-home, with strong communication and documentation duties.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in application support, solid SQL and scripting skills, and familiarity with ITIL practices. Willingness to work on weekends and align with client operations is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, CS, or IT.
• 3+ years of experience as Application Support Engineer.
• Experience with SQL, scripting, and log analysis.
• ITIL knowledge considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle incident & issue tickets requiring deep technical analysis.
• Investigate application errors, failures, and performance issues.
• Perform root cause analysis for recurring incidents.
• Provide timely fixes or workarounds to restore service.
• Coordinate with DevOps during deployments and rollouts.
• Validate application functionality after releases.
• Document known issues and solutions; maintain runbooks.
• Work in hybrid setup: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.
