Job summary

Ascendion in Manila is seeking an IT Support/Operations Associate to monitor system health, perform basic troubleshooting, and escalate complex issues as needed.

You will follow incident procedures, document steps, and collaborate with L1 support and business teams to keep services running smoothly in a hybrid office; fresh graduates with a related degree, SQL experience, and basic Java knowledge are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/CE or related field.
• Hands-on experience with SQL through projects, internships, or work.
• Basic to hands-on experience with Java, including OOP fundamentals.
• Basic understanding of IT systems, application support, troubleshooting, and incident management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and IT operations processes.
• Ability to follow procedures and escalate complex issues when needed.
• Willing to work in a hybrid setup and report to the office as required.
• Fresh graduates welcome; internship or academic project experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily system operations and assist in identifying and resolving basic system issues.
• Provide first-level troubleshooting for incidents and service requests according to procedures.
• Assist in investigating system errors and operational issues and escalate as needed.
• Support users by addressing basic technical concerns, service requests, and system-related issues.
• Coordinate with L1 support, engineers, and business teams to ensure smooth system operations.
• Follow defined SLA and incident management procedures and track issues until resolution.
• Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and service requests accurately.
• Maintain operational reports, knowledge base articles, and system documentation.
• Participate in routine system checks, health monitoring, and other operational activities.
• Learn and apply standard troubleshooting and IT service management practices.
