Job summary

Home Credit Philippines is seeking a Software Tester to review specifications, prepare test cases, and execute tests across web and mobile applications. You will log defects, collaborate with developers for fixes, and support various testing types from functional to exploratory.

The role also involves coordinating UAT with business users and cross-functional teams in a hybrid work setting, leveraging tools like Jira/Zephyr and API testing skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in a software tester role or similar.
• Experience with API testing using SOAP-UI and Postman.
• Hands-on experience in web-based application and mobile testing.
• Hands-on experience in database technology (e.g. Oracle, SQL).
• Basic knowledge of software testing concepts, processes, and bug life cycle.
• Familiarity with test/defect management tools (e.g., Jira, Zephyr).

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze system specifications.
• Prepare test cases, scripts, and data.
• Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results.
• Log defects and coordinate with developers for fixes and retesting.
• Perform functional, automation, component, system, integration, regression, and exploratory testing.
• Coordinate UAT with developers, data/business analysts, and users.
• Notify lead of major issues during testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
