Job summary

Thakral One is seeking a QA Tester to support functional and automated testing across web, API, backend, and insurance applications. You will work within Agile delivery teams to ensure quality, stability, and reliability while collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.

You will design and maintain test cases, perform SQL-based validation, and contribute to automation best practices. Hybrid work setup in Metro Manila/Philippines supports ongoing quality delivery across projects.

Qualifications

3–8 years of QA or software testing experience.
2–3+ years of experience within the Insurance domain.
Understanding of the insurance policy lifecycle.
Experience testing Policy Administration, Claims Processing, Underwriting, Billing/Payments, or Renewals/Endorsements.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, execute, and maintain test cases and automated test scripts for web, API, and backend applications.
Deliver functional, integration, regression, and release validation testing.
Analyse test results, troubleshoot failures, and maintain reliable automation test suites.
Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, and test reports.
Perform SQL-based database validation and backend testing to verify data accuracy and application behaviour.
Identify, log, track, retest, and verify defects using Jira or similar tools.
Collaborate closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Scrum teams.
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Support release validation and production testing activities.
Contribute to automation best practices and provide guidance to junior QA engineers.
