MRI Software in Manila, Philippines is seeking a motivated Consumer Underwriting Representative to support renters applying for the lease guarantor program. You will review documents, provide timely status updates, and guide applicants through verification and underwriting while ensuring compliance and an excellent customer experience.

The role involves analyzing credit reports, communicating decisions, and collaborating with underwriting, operations, and support teams to ensure a smooth process

Qualifications

• Experience in consumer underwriting or loan underwriting preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze consumer credit reports to assess creditworthiness and identify underwriting risks.
• Respond promptly to consumer inquiries with clear status updates.
• Escalate issues to leadership when necessary.
• Collect, review, and verify documents such as financial statements, proof of income, and identification.
• Perform preliminary underwriting reviews per policies and guidelines.
• Communicate underwriting decisions and requests for additional information clearly.
• Document all consumer interactions in the system of record.
• Escalate high-risk cases to senior underwriters as needed.
• Maintain compliance with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with underwriting, operations, and customer support for a seamless experience.
