Job summary

UNICON Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers Corporation is seeking an Accounting Associate based in Pasig for a full-time hybrid role. You will support day-to-day accounting activities, maintain records, and assist with month-end closing.

Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, you will handle accounts receivable and payable, prepare financial reports, and help improve processes while ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 4-year college course, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; candidates with 1–2 years of experience are welcome.
• Basic familiarity with accounting software and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Accounting Records and Transaction Management: Record, update, and maintain financial transactions and accounting records with accuracy.
• Reconciliation and Closing Support: Review and reconcile assigned accounts and assist in monthly/annual closings.
• Invoice and Payment Administration: Review/process supplier invoices and coordinate payment schedules.
• Financial Reports and Documentation: Prepare reports and compile documents for audits.
• Accounting Compliance and Process Improvement: Follow controls and assist in improving procedures.
