This is a full-time hybrid role for an Accounting Associate based in Pasig. We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join Unicon’s Accounting Department. In this role, you will support the team in managing day-to-day accounting activities and maintaining accurate and timely financial records.
Working closely with the Accounting Supervisor, you will assist in processing financial transactions, maintaining accounting documentation, reconciling accounts, and supporting the team during month-end and year-end closing activities.
Accounting Records and Transaction Management: Record, update, and maintain financial transactions and accounting records with accuracy. Provide support for both accounts receivable and accounts payable activities.
Reconciliation and Closing Support: Review and reconcile assigned accounts, investigate and address discrepancies, and assist the Accounting team with monthly and annual closing requirements.
Invoice and Payment Administration: Review and process supplier invoices, coordinate payment schedules, and respond to billing and payment-related concerns as needed.
Financial Reports and Documentation: Assist in preparing accounting and financial reports, compile supporting documents for audits, and ensure accounting files and records are properly organized and accessible.
Accounting Compliance and Process Improvement: Follow established accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable regulations. Participate in initiatives aimed at improving accounting processes and assist in implementing new procedures and practices.
Educational Background: Graduate of any 4-year college course, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: This is an entry-level opportunity, and fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with 1–2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related role, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry, are also welcome to apply.
Technical Skills: Basic familiarity with accounting software, preferably SAP, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, is an advantage.
Knowledge: Basic understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and proper record-keeping practices.
