Job summary

Vivant in Cebu City, Philippines, is seeking an experienced Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) to build and strengthen our people operations for a growing U.S.-based company.

In this hybrid role, you will lead day-to-day HR operations, develop and refine HR processes, ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws and BIR regulations, and coordinate payroll and employee records. You will collaborate with leadership to drive employee engagement and a high-performance culture.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience with strong exposure to HR Operations and Employee Relations.
  • Experience handling payroll coordination, labor compliance, employee documentation, and HR administration.
  • Working knowledge of Philippine Labor Code, BIR processes, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and DOLE compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day HR operations across the organization.
  • Develop, document, and continuously improve HR processes, SOPs, and knowledge base materials.
  • Ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws, the Civil Code, BIR regulations, and company policies.
  • Manage employee records, HR documentation, contracts, and government compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate timekeeping, payroll processing, attendance monitoring, and leave administration.
  • Oversee the entire employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee development, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Support performance reviews, coaching initiatives, and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
  • Plan and execute employee engagement and culture-building initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employee concerns and HR-related inquiries.
  • Coordinate HR matters involving independent contractors and external BPO partners.
  • Partner with local and global leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives.
  • Handle BIR registrations, tax-related documentation, and other government compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities

As the Human Resource Business Partner, you will:

  • Lead day-to-day HR operations across the organization

Requirements
  • At least 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, with strong exposure to HR Operations and Employee Relations
  • Experience handling payroll coordination, labor compliance, employee documentation, and HR administration
  • Working knowledge of Philippine Labor Code, BIR processes, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and DOLE compliance
  • Experience creating SOPs, improving workflows, and implementing HR processes
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and integrity
  • Experience supporting U.S. or international companies is an advantage
  • Willingness to work a U.S. Central Time schedule
